About Compound
We run one marketing engine per vertical, not one template per client.
Most agencies generalize. Most in-house teams don't have the time to benchmark against 30 competitors. We do the opposite: pick one vertical, go deep, and reuse the compounding work across every firm in it.
Our thesis
Boutique professional-services firms don't lose to bigger firms because those firms are better marketers. They lose because the bigger firms are running a shared playbook — SEO, content, ads, site structure — that has been sharpened across dozens of engagements. The playbook is the moat, not the budget.
We think the right way to sell that moat to a 5–25 person firm isn't to resell generic agency hours. It's to run the same playbook across every client in a vertical simultaneously, so research, testing, and measurement compound across firms instead of starting from zero each time. That's also why we pick one vertical at a time. If we can't be the best option in a vertical, we don't belong in it.
Phase 1: specialty law firms — estate, employment, immigration, business, IP. Not personal injury (different buying behavior, different compliance surface). Phase 2 and beyond are unannounced until Phase 1 has a public track record.
How we work
-
One vertical, one engagement shape
Every firm in Phase 1 gets the same four services bundled: website, content engine, SEO, bar-compliant ads. No à-la-carte menu. The bundle is the product.
-
Done-for-you, not done-with-you
Partners stay in their zone. We run a 30-minute monthly review, a shared dashboard, and an on-demand Slack channel. We don't need you on a weekly status call to do our job.
-
Measured in matters opened
Rankings and impressions are diagnostics, not outcomes. Every engagement reports on qualified consultations booked and matters opened. If those don't move, we owe you a plan, not a prettier dashboard.
-
Compliance is a default, not a feature
Every page, ad, and case study passes a state-bar advertising checklist before it goes live. No superlatives, no outcome guarantees, no un-consented client names.
What we won't do
- Take clients we can't be the best option for. If your firm is outside Phase 1 verticals, we'll tell you.
- Spin up a retainer that's mostly slideware. If you can't read the report in under five minutes, we failed.
- Run black-hat SEO, private blog networks, AI-spam blog farms, or anything we'd be embarrassed to explain on a deposition.
- Publish work with your firm's name on it before your managing partner has signed off.
